Welcome to our church website
Woodbank is a Pentecostal church serving the local community. We are based in Whitehaven, West Cumbria – on the edge of the Lake District.
Our church is lead by Rev Barry Appleby. Barry is supported by a team who help to run things behind the scenes, organises events, lead the worship and minister to others.
We meet every Sunday @ 11am at Woodbank Church, Woodhouse, Whitehaven.
Ukraine Relief Appeal
Elim Missions is launching an ERA appeal to support those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
In partnership with Samaritan’s Purse, our Elim Missionaries in the area and our Elim Global National Leader Viktor, we will work together in support.
Many of you will be aware of Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child, through which they have contacts in over 3000 churches in Ukraine, distributing over 600,000 shoe-boxes for children.
Samaritan’s Purse has already deployed multiple Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DART) at 9 border crossings in Romania, Moldova and Poland. Each of these advanced teams includes a medical staff member who will work to identify if there are any health needs that are unable to be met by the local healthcare system. In coordination with this assessment Samaritan’s Purse has also prepared two Emergency Field Hospitals for overseas deployment in the event that they are needed.
